The challenge

Working with Empaua, the client needed a data warehouse that balanced performance and cost for its analytics.

The candidate platforms — each with different pricing models and performance profiles — are hard to compare on paper, and a wrong choice gets more expensive as data volumes grow.

What we did

Instead of choosing a platform on reputation, we benchmarked the candidates — BigQuery, Firestore, DynamoDB and Azure Data Lake — against the client's real workloads, comparing performance and projected cost at their data volumes.

With the results on the table, we designed and implemented the cloud data warehouse on the platform that fit best.

The outcome

The client got a data warehouse matched to its data volumes and budget — a decision backed by measurements rather than assumptions.
