The challenge

SMILICS, an energy-monitoring company, needed a solution architecture to scale its IoT platform in the cloud.

An IoT platform lives or dies by its architecture: a constant stream of device data has to be ingested, stored and served reliably and securely, and decisions taken early determine how far the platform can scale.

What we did

We designed a cloud solution architecture for their energy-monitoring IoT platform.

The architecture defines how devices, data and services connect: how device data is ingested and stored, how services consume it, and how the whole system stays reliable and secure as the device fleet grows.

The outcome

SMILICS has a clear architectural blueprint for scaling its platform — decisions about ingestion, storage and security made deliberately instead of under pressure.
